Arnold pen

This pen, made in Petersburg, Virginia (not far from where I sit here in Marlboro Country), has an unusual "unstirred coffee & cream" look that is much less translucent than most other celluloid pens of the time. The styling of this pen is clearly derived from the successful Sheaffer Balance line. I couldn't say when it was made, but it is probably pre-WWII. Otherwise, this steel-pointed pen with plated trim doesn't have much to recommend it to the collector, but hey, a pen's a pen for all that.
